Nina Kruger is a contemporary fiber artist living and working in Simondium, South Africa. Holding a BA Fine Arts degree from the University of Pretoria and an MA degree from The Magdalena Abakanowicz University of Art in Poznań, Poland, Kruger brings eight years of professional experience in the commercial textile industry to her art practice. 

Kruger's work has been featured in both national and international exhibitions, notably the Poznań Textile Biennale Curated by Karolina Grzeszczuk at the Jeżycki Cultural Center, Poznań; I Dreamt of an Empty Forest Curated by Dorota Tarnowska-Urbanik at Galeria Duża Scena, Poznań; Hide and Seek Curated by Aleksandra Zuckho at Galerii Design UAP; A4 OPEN CALL Group Exhibition Curated by Sam Gardner between Poznań, Poland and Oaxaca City, Mexico; and Rysować Curated by Aleksandra Sojak-Borodo and Martyna Rzepecka at Galeria Sztuki Wozownia in Toruń, Poland. Her recent exhibitions include Infinite Threads Curated by the artist as part of the Inaugural Heat Festival, AVA Gallery in Cape Town, South Africa as well as approximations to a voice: ellipsis Curated by Jean Dreyer for The Vrystaat Kunstefees, at Johannes Stegmann Gallery in Bloemfontein, South Africa. Her first outdoor sculpture: Shifting Shadows, is featured along the Inaugural Stellenbosch Art Mile

Kruger is a SASOL New Signatures 2024 finalist and has received awards such as the Rector's Scholarship at The Magdalena Abakanowicz University of Art, Poland and the second merit award at the Barclays Africa L'Atelier Competition, leading to a residency at Sylt Kuns Raum in Germany. Additional residencies also include Entabeni Urban Farm, Knysna, and Witklipfontein Eco Lodge, Parys with SAFFCA.
