The Tale of two dolls By D. Heenop
"Once there were two dolls thrown into a world that was not their own. If they were to keep their childlike wonder they would have to adapt, change or hide themselves against the ever-watching eyes of this strange society.
The first doll realized that she would have to hide and protect who she really was if she wanted to move forward in this world, so she hid her eyes to hide her true self. She became a chameleon altering her appearance and her personality to whatever society wanted- and it worked. But over time she started losing herself, hurt by the very society she tried to fit into. As parts melted away, she adopted an eel as a guardian and companion. He could see this world for what it was. The eel loved and protected her, helping her revive the small parts of herself she had lost. Because she had become such a creature society no longer wanted her and pushed her aside. At least this way she could live out her days as her true self, loved and protected by her dear friend.

The second doll was sadly too naïve for this new world. She thought that she would win favor by serving the society, so she grew many arms. With each arm she could take on a new task and help in some way, desperately trying to change this strange world and keep the good in her alive. But with each attempt the society twisted her eGorts into something ugly and cruel. So, eventually, eyes wide open she changed again. She vowed to leave her naïve self behind and replaced her childlike innocence with awareness. She grew eyes on each of her arms cautiously moving through this strange world. She felt most at home hidden, at least on her own she would be safe.
The end."
