"Join us on Thursday, 7 November 2024, at 6 pm for the opening of Infinite Perspectives, a groundbreaking exhibition at the intersection of art, memory, identity, and human experience. This dynamic show brings together the innovative works of four contemporary South African artists: Bevan de Wet, Danelle Heenop, Mark Modimola, and Lisa Younger. Each artist offers a unique lens on the world, inviting viewers to explore layers of self, nature, and the surreal through diverse artistic practices."

"As it should be and Toxic, yet beautiful are made to be viewed as uncomfortable opposites.  The two works comment on my experience and memory of the untouched landscapes of Hermanus in my youth, standing in contrast to a more recent experience which found me uneasy and saddened. Within my short lifespan this pristine landscape has become slowly polluted by plastic and discarded materials blown inland from the ocean corrupting the untouched natural environment. As it should be  attempts to capture some of this undisturbed beauty in nature allowing for birds to weave their nests in a safe haven undisrupted or in synchrony with  humans. In contrast Toxic, yet beautiful explores the future, a lost natural environment held together by the toxic after effects of our development and innovation. The title is in contrast with the artwork hinting towards our concern and awareness of the negative effects we have on the natural world as a cost of our societal, technological development and advancement, and yet our inability to walk away from it in order to save nature. It is within this uncomfortable space where I sit, saddened by what I see, yet unable to walk away."
